Beaten-up on towpath

A 20 year old man arranged for his 15 years old ex girlfriend to be be beaten-up by his new 17 years old girlfriend on a canal towpath.

Anthony Binfield, a previous offender, took his ex girlfriend to the towpath of the Grand Union Canal at Kings Langley, then his new girlfriend sprung out and attacked the young girl, knocking her to the ground and kicked her head, Alan Tilbury tells us.

30 offences

Whilst on the ground the man snatched her mobile phone, so was charged with robbery, and sentenced to a young offenders' institution for 20 months.  In the past he had been charged with 30 offences and appeared in court 16 times.

The 17 years old girl had already been dealt with by a court, and ordered to pay the victim  £500 in compensation in addition to a referral order.

After the attack the pair walked off leaving the injured girl on the ground in tears.
