New bridge open this year

UPPER Mills Bridge on the Stroudwater Canal is nearing completion, and should be ready next month.

This is all part of the restoration of the Cotswold Canals, with the bridge needed to carry a road over the waterway, that is being constructed by civil engineering and construction specialists Britannia.

Over last weekend local residents at Stonehouse  were invited to an open weekend to view the work of the £500,000 project.
