SHIRLEY DRAW BRIDGE on the North Stratford Canal has been struck by a vehicle.

ShirleyDrawbridgIt now being unusable, Keith Gudgin reports.

This occurred yesterday, Thursday.

The vehicle struck and damaged the barriers that are now out of action with the navigati9n closed.

Engineers informed

The trust's engineers have been informed, with it telling it will provide an update as soon as it receives a confirmed time frame for repairs.

These barriers are only to often broken by vehicle strikes, the last time on the 27th August and twice in April last year on the 9th and 19th.

LATEST—The barriers have been replaced and the drawbridge is now open to navigation.
