Girl allegedly sexually assaulted by Selby Canal
A TEN YEARS OLD girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a number of teenage boys by the Selby Canal towpath.
The boys luring the girl into the edge of an allotment to carry our their attack during broad daylight, Keith Gudgin reports.
Appealing for information
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for any information after an alleged sexual assault by Selby Canal at around 5pm on 15th June.
A police spokesman spokesman told:
"A group of three teenage boys, approximately 13 years of age, lured the girl to the allotments before sexually assaulting her by kissing her and trying to remove her clothing.
"The girl left the area quickly afterwards."
Police have revealed the boys were white but do not have local accents.
Been on the towpath
One of the teenage boys is said to have short ginger hair, another has short blond gelled hair, and a third is described as having black or dark gelled hair. The suspects were believed to have been on the canal towpath before the alleged attack.
