Addition to winter works

MAKING a change from winter works cancellations, comes an addition to the winter works.

Canal & River Trust is surveying four safety gates, Keith Gudgin reports.

These are on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal at Purton, and will be opened one at a time to enable the inside and outside of all four safety gates to be inspected.

Impassible

During the time they are being inspected the canal will be impassable.

The navigation will be closed from 25th November through to 4th December 2024, but there will be a one hour navigational window on Thursday the 28th  November at 8.45am.
