Another canal murder arrest

THERE has been another arrest of a man who has been charged with the murder of a Chinese man whose body was pulled out of the Selby Canal last year.

The man Wang Shaozhe, 23, from China has been charged with the murder of Chen Cai Guan, who was living under an assumed name, and whose body was recovered from the canal near Selby last March.

He had already been charged, along with another man, with perverting the cause of justice in connection with the murder.

Altogether there have been three charges of murder and two of perverting the course of justice in relation to the case.
