Horse boating starts on the Chesterfield Canal

THE first horse boating demonstration of the year will be on this Sunday 2nd.

Leaving Shireoaks at about 10.30am and returning from the Lock Keeper pub in Worksop at about 12.30pm with Dawn Rose being pulled.

The Friends of Dawn Rose will be displaying the boat at the Shireoaks Carnival on 6th July and are appealing for prizes for their tombola stall.

Last year they were given lots of unwanted bottles of wine, spirits, gift sets etc. which attracted a great number of tickets.
