Peak Forest closed again

THE Peak Forest Canal is closed to navigation yet again.

This time it is an issue with Lock 7 on the Marple Flight (and not Wood End Lift Bridge!) that has caused the stoppage, Keith Gudgin reveals.

Closed yesterday

This occurred yesterday, Thursday, with the navigation closed, but with no intimation as to what caused the problem.

There are however engineers onsite investigating the possible causes.
