THE Canal & River Trust tells that it has no money for cleaning out its Elsan facility!
The facility at Hebden Bridge does not get cleaned-out as the company cleaning it monthly stopped doing stand-alone Elsans.
Doesn't have the money
The trust has not taken over the cleaning as it tells it does not have the money for a monthly clean.
Or perhaps this could be a way of closing it down altogether?
But surely the state of the facility warrants an inspections by a hygiene authority.
We have been told that boaters have contacted the Environmental Health last week.
Drinking water
This particular facility includes drinking water that anyone would be loath to use, with its hose snaked on the ground. And always providing a boater could get to it through the nettles that have not been cut!
