THE Shires Gate Trade Park, owned by Canal & River Trust is yet another of its incomes now sold.

A property company has purchased what it describes as the biggest investment deal in its history by acquiring the site at Leamington, Roger Fox reports.

ShiresGateBusinessMany businesses

This trade park comprises of many businesses including Toolstation, Benchmarx, Tile Giant, Travis Perkins builders’ merchants and smaller businesses, providing a lucrative income for Canal & River Trust.

But in its need for cash it has sold it for a stated seven figure sum.

The site comprises a total of 132 acres and was an important revenue for the waterways.

Mark Edwards, Managing Director at AC Lloyd Commercial, that has purchased the site, told this was an excellent opportunity to add a high-quality asset with long-term income to its investment portfolio, adding:

Most sought after

“The park remains one of the busiest and most sought-after business parks in Warwickshire not just Leamington, and over our 75 year history we have helped to attract a wide range of businesses, across various sectors, to the location."

This joins the many other Canal & River Trust investments that it has disposed of, giving of course the lump sums but of course no future incomes.
