Paddle problem closes Oxford Canal

THE Canal & River Trust advise that the  Oxford Canal is closed at Aynho.

This it relates is due to  a defective paddle mechanism, Keith Gudgin reports.

Which lock?

However the trust does not state which lock has the problem, it stating both Nell Bridge Lock (32) and Aynho Lock (33).

Perhaps the stoppage also concerns strong stream conditions that occur at Aynho Lock.

The two locks was closed yesterday, Sunday, and will be so 'until further notice, its given reason being 'repair'.
