Not winter works

THE first November stoppage that's not winter work.

And it's the poor Huddersfield Narrow yet again being, we are told, closed 'until further notice'.

Local team

A  detached paddle has closed Lock 3W, and the local team has been on site and have 'established a method of repair'.

Work is to start and is expected to be complete this week.

Passage through Standedge Tunnel however is now very limited with boaters advised to contact the trust regarding bookings.
