Kevin McNiff has passed away

WE ARE sad to report that our contributor Kevin McNiff passed away yesterday.

He slowly succumbed to a stroke he suffered during August, Dave Martin reports.

Coventry Canal

The stroke occurred on the August Bank Holiday whilst he was on his boat, Ebony on the Coventry Canal near the city.

Kevin was a prolific contributor to narrowboatworld for many years and a search of the site brings up 50 of his articles in just the past four years, but there were many more previously.

Hiring, sharing and owning together with his wife Trish, he was a boater for 45 years with his last article being in August just before the stroke, and he was another of our contributors who 'told it like it is', often illustrating his articles with photographs, and will be most sadly missed.

He will also be sadly missed by all his Russell Newbery friends, adds fellow contributor Brian D Jarrett.
