Environmental Agency closes Lee Navigation lock

WARE Lock on the Lee Navigation has been closed by the Environmental Agency.

In the notice issued by Canal & River Trust it is stated that the agency is closing the lock for emergency repairs, Keith Gudgin reports.

Diving team

This lock is the responsibility of the Environment Agency, that has organised a diving team to investigate the problem that has caused the stoppage.

There is no intimation of the problem or when the lock is likely to be reopened.
