A MAGNET 'fisherman' pulling out a 'grenade' from the navigation caused a scare in Leeds over the week-end.

RoyalArmouriesMuseumThis caused the Aire & Calder to be closed and the whole area to be sealed off as the bomb squad descended on the city.

The man was 'fishing' in the waterway outside the Royal Armouries Museum in the city when he pulled out what looked like a grenade and immediately called the emergency services.

There was soon a large police presence in the area quickly followed by the bomb squad that took the device away.

The area is now back to normal and the museum reopened.
