Man charged with the murder on Grand Union towpath

A MAN has been charged with the murder of the enforcement officer who died whilst on duty.

This occurred on the towpath of the Grand Union Canal at Broughton near Aylesbury on Monday 26th April.

Was on duty

Canal & River Trust have confirmed that Clive Porter, an enforcement officer, (now renamed licensing rangers) was on duty at the time he was attacked.

Daniel Wisniewski, 34, is accused of attacking Clive Porter on the Grand Union Canal towpath and charged with murder, and is due to appear in High Wycombe Magistrates' Court later.

Woman released on police bail

A 41 years old woman from Birmingham, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice, has been released on police bail.
