Shropshire Union reopened

THE Shropshire Union Canal was reopened yesterday 5th January.

This was the stoppage that was not clear as it was told it was an embankment slippage into the waterway, though there is no embankment at the place given.

Problem solved

However, perhaps that was down to a miscalculation, the problem has been solved and the waterway re-opened.

The advice from Canal & River Trust is to procced with care.
