Dog bound with duct tape

A DOG has been found on the Leeds & Liverpool  Canal towpath with its feet tied with duct tape.

The dead animal was covered by a blanket but would have been unable to move with its feet tied together Alan Tilbury reports.

A young lad finding the female animal was most upset at his discovery realising the dog would have been unable to move if left alive. As there was rotten meat by its side it is believed it was alive was it was abandoned.

Both the police and the RSPCA were called by the lad's mother and the owner has been traced, but the two authorities are both saying that the other is taking on the investigation, so the outcome is not known
