CONTINUING the race for waterside living in London, Kingsland Basin on the Regent's Canal is the next development. The redevelopment of the site, will begin next Spring, and will involve the demolition of existing buildings. The developer promises to liaise with the boat occupiers who will remain residents in the basin throughout the duration of the project, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Five blocks of eight storeys buildings will be constructed, with dwellings for rent, shared ownership and private sale, and will include commercial premises. The site contains Grade II listed buildings.
The project will include space for 233 bicycles. The work is expected to last two years.
