Two more people drown in the Avon

A MAN and a woman drowned when their car plunged into the Avon at Bristol in the same location that two men died in another car that went into the river last year.

It was last night, Wednesday, at 11pm when the driver of the Renault Clio being driven along the side of the river seemingly lost control and swerved into the Avon, with both occupants unable to escape and drowning, Alan Tilbury reports.

Police divers

Police divers are this morning examining the location where the car went in, and are asking for anyone who saw the incident to get in touch.

This is the same place that two others lost their lives when their vehicle plunged into the river.
