Free hire boating sessions

DRIFTERS Waterway Holidays have combined with Canal & River Trust to give would-be hirers free trial sessions from many bases across the system.

This is being offered at 19 locations on both the English and Welsh waterways, and is taking place for one day on Sunday, 23rd April, from 11am until 4pm, Alan Tilbury reports.

Accompanied skipper

The sessions will include instruction by an accompanied skipper on narrowboats on short trips from the many bases.

These include the hire companies that come under the Drifters banner, such as Anglo Welsh, Countrywide Cruisers and Black Prince, but have been given no further information.
