More development at Brentford

THERE is to be more apartments and penthouses wedged into the available space besides the Grand Union Canal at Brentford.

Developers have launched 'with great success' a new selection of apartments, flats and penthouses under the name of Brentford Lock West, Alan Tilbury reports.

Waterside views

Near to the actual lock, and of course advertised 'with impressive waterside views' the developers state that the demand 'for these eagerly anticipated new homes is expected to remain high'.

The canal side buildings overlooking the Grand Union Canal include 42 two and three bedroom apartments.

Extensive building

There has already been extensive building in Brentford, where the Grand Union joins the Thames, as this is an ideal base for London commuters. The above picture shows the existing development by the side of the waterway, with nearby very expensive moorings at £14,892 for a 60ft boat for one year—and no residential.
