Leicester Riverside Festival

THIS year marks the 20th anniversary of Leicester Riverside Festival, an annual two day festival that takes place over the first Saturday and Sunday in June.

This is a multi-site festival with themed activities on each site and this year will be on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June from 10am to 4pm each day.

Two sites

The two sites are at Bede Park at Western Boulevard, and Bede Park Piazza at Castle Gardens with boats on the Mile Straight on the Soar.

Bede Park has family activities including fun fair, food stalls, arts & crafts, beer tent, acoustic music stage and lots of join in activities. The Piazza area has large music stage featuring live bands. Western Boulevard has a street market with arts and crafts and street food and a Ride Leicester cycling area.

Narrowboat rally

The Soar has a narrowboat rally, boat trips, canoe and small boat rides and hire also demonstrations by Sea Scouts and Fire and Rescue Service. Castle Gardens has children's activities with an eco and environmental focus.
