Wrong way!

A WOMAN definitely took the wrong way with her car when leaving her parking by the Thames in Henley, coming to an abrupt stop.

She had parked her car facing the river, but instead of reversing out of the parking bay had gone forward and was only saved from ending up in the river by a pontoon, that luckily had no boat moored, Alan tilbury tells us.

Unable to get out

The emergency service rescued her from the car, being unable to get out herself, and the car was removed a while later as it hung precariously and could have gone down.

The woman, in her 80s, though shocked, was unhurt and did not need treatment. Picture by Henni Havenga.
