Sunken boat in Oxford Canal

THERE is another sunken boat partly blocking the navigation, this time on the Oxford Canal.

 

A boat was burnt-out and then sank between Hawkesbury Junction and Bridge 4 on the waterway and is partly blocking the canal, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Near towpath

However this is passable with care, but as it has sunk near the towpath boaters are advised to keep back on the offside. There is no intimation when this will be removed.
