NABO welcomes direct reporting

THE National Association of Boat Owners (NABO) has welcomed the decision by Canal & River Trust to create the role of Head of Customer Service, reporting directly to the Chief Executive, Richard Parry.

The responsibilities will include leisure boating, licensing and enforcement as well as leading wider customer service changes, with NABO Chairman, Mike Rodd, commenting:

We welcome this timely initiative and are confident that it will lead to a new era of pro-active co-operation. We are also delighted that the role will be filled initially by Dean Davies, who we know well from his excellent work as Waterway Manager for the West Midlands.

We welcome the opportunity for constructive engagement with Dean and naturally offer him as much help as we can as seeks to address the many issues that have developed over the past 10 years.
