THE lock keeper at Abingdon Lock on the Thames has within a week rescued two people who have been caught in the flooded river.

Broken from moorings

Then at the weekend he rescued a boater who fell in the Thames near the lock from his narrowboat that had broken away from its moorings.  There are many stories of people falling into the river that is hidden under the floods.
