Filthy facilities on Lee & Stort

BOATER Carmen Smith was so disgusted at the state of the facilities on the Lee & Stort Navigation that she has complained to British Waterways about their state.

The picture shows the state of the basin at the facilities at Bishop's Stortford, with the toilet even worse, adding:

"The sanitary station, as you can imagine, was equally disgusting.

"There are others on the Lee and Stort Navigation that are also pretty disgusting, at Feilde's Weir Lock (outdoor facility, oozing sewage) and Tottenham Hale (to be entered at one's peril). No response yet from BW!"
