Email: Mean and selfish

In addition to John Harwood's experiences I will add my own. We arrived at Whilton locks to find two hire boats waiting to go up, and were surprised to see that two private boats had gone round them and up the locks.

Thinking they had a problem negotiating locks we offered our help. No problems we were told except that the private boats told the hire boaters, that private boats had priority to negotiate locks ahead of waiting hire boats!
