Speedboat engine exploded

THREE men sought the safety of the waters of the canal at the weekend when the engine of their speedboat exploded.

The trio, all in their 20's were on the Grand Union Canal at Tring, when the  engine exploded, with fire fighters called to the scene.

The boat however sank, and it is understood that there will now be one more unlicenced caraft on the waterway.
