Through the roof

DUE to our extensive coverage concerning maintenance and the closure of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal together with the problems of speeding cyclists, there has been an unprecedented interest in narrowboatworld during July.

Coupled with many visits from the .gov provider—the result of boaters referring their MPs to both articles and the State of the waterways Gallery—from a total of 238,092 visits to the Home page last  month, our server recorded an unprecedented 360,876 visits during July!

As it states an average of just over four pages read for each visit, this means that during July 1,443,504 pages were viewed.  And it states it is not possible to record them all!

The State of the waterways Gallery itself was viewed 29,355 times, showing the great interest in the state of the maintenance of the waterways, now containing 111 photographs, more than anything showing the deplorable condition of the waterways under the present regime.

Our grateful thanks to all of you who make NbW The voice of the waterways. You certainly tell it as it is—and obviously tell others too!
