Vandals at Skipton again

A TRIP boat moored at Skipton on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has been ruined by paint stripper, in the latest act of vandalism in the town.

The boat, owned by Pennine Boat Trips, that operates out of the town has had its paint work ruined by paint stripper that has been sprayed over it whilst moored in the canal basin.

£300 reward

The damage to the boat is extensive, which now needs completely repainting, with owner Nick Osborn offering a £300 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

It was in Skipton that boats were being damaged, which caused boaters to avoid mooring in the town, but over the past few months things had been quiet, with no problems, but this new outrage is again warning boaters away from mooring, which of course harms the businesses in the town.
