Break-in at Foxton

Published: Wednesday, 07 April 2010

A NARROWBOAT was broken into as it was moored on the Market Harborough Arm at Foxton below the locks.

The boat was unattended last week until Easter Sunday, so it is not known when the break-in occurred.

The thief stole beer from the boat after gaining entry after breaking the lock on the door.

Inspector Neal Holland, of Harborough Police, advised:

"It's a timely reminder, with the warmer months coming, for boat owners to make sure their boats are kept secure and to report anything suspicious to the police."
