Boaters watch out!

BOATERS working the locks from Diglis Basin on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal should take extra care this coming season.

For the first section of  a new high speed cycle track has been opened on the towpath, which eventually will cover 4.5 miles from the basin.

British Waterways

It will be completed in Spring, with the work being done by British Waterways, Worcestershire County Council, Worcester City Council and sustainable transport charity Sustrans.

At a cost of  £750,000  the track will link a sports centre, rugby ground  and two schools.
