No decision on marina

PLANNING permission  for the controversial plans for the new marina at Soudley on the Shropshire Union Canal is still being withheld.

The plans were submitted last year by developers Moore Marine to build a 200 berth marina at Park Heath Farm near Market Drayton, but met with objections, though the local council have no objections.

The application to Shropshire Council included various buildings and residential berths for two boats, but though it was expected a decision would have been made last December, a council official has now confirmed that there has not even been a date set for the plans to go before the planning committee.
