Narrowboats outside

Published: Monday, 04 January 2010

THOUGH as we reported there is  a scarcity  of narrowboats in the hall of the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show, there are eight on display outside.

Visitors will be able to explore the selection of narrowboats displayed outside ExCeL on the Royal Albert Dock, before heading indoors to see two further inland waterways boats on display in ExCeL's South Hall (stand SO20L), Eugene Baston writes.

Prizes

The inland waterways stand, which also features a real ale bar and seating area, has a range of great prizes available for visitors to win, including a variety of narrowboat and river cruiser holidays, luxury stays at waterside hotels, pubs and restaurants and even free berthing for a year or a lift, hold and bottom scrub—for a boat of course!

This coming Sunday (10th January) is ‘Inland Waterways' day, with special stage shows and other features highlighting the many opportunities to get out on canals and rivers in the UK. And to cap it all off there are a variety of other inland waterways orientated exhibitors at the Show, from the IWA through to marina operators and clothing and chandlery providers.
