'Cooking the books'—again!

Published: Monday, 18 June 2018

I HAVE just done an astonishing sum following the publication by CaRT of the volunteer hours spent clearing rubbish from the Regent’s Canal, writes Roger Fox.

It shows that a very unlikely 101 hours was spent every day for a whole year on this task, or put another way, 12 people spent eight hours every single day.

Totally implausible

These figures are totally implausible and are yet another example of CaRT cooking the books.

[Canal & RiverTrust stated: 'Volunteers have spent 37,143 hours cleaning-up the Regent's Canal in London canal over the past year'.]
