Swing bridge fails again

IT WAS just over a month ago that the Crabtree Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal failed, but it has done so again.
Last time it was a 'structure failure' and this time—another 'structure failure', Keith Gudgin tells us.
Seven failures
This year there have been seven swing bridge failures on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, that surely must point to a lack of maintenance and Canal & River Trust's obvious new policy of 'wait until it break then mend it'!
Perhaps they all need replaceding having reached their 'use by' date.
