Not too safe

We were in Rotterdam for a few days last week enjoying steam boats and appreciating the wonderful city architecture both old and new, writes Roger Fox.

One evening our enjoyment of a glass of beer was interrupted by the passing of this 'Hot Tug' carrying some beefy lads with not a single item of safety gear in sight.

Full of water

The vessel is very full of water, is heated by the small stove, and there is very little freeboard. A disaster waiting to happen?

I expect that CaRT would find a fleet of these vessels a very lucrative offering in Little Venice or Paddington Basin!
