More objections to HS2

CAMPAIGNERS against the new HS2 high speed train route are to highlight its effect on areas near the Trent.

They intend to walk the the route of the new line as it passes by Long Eaton, which they maintain will 'highlight chaos and destruction', Alan Tilbury reports.

'Stop HS2 Erewash' and 'Stop HS2 Trowell' are protesting against the high speed line which would pass through Long Eaton and Stapleford.

The walk will take them around  six miles from Trowell to the Trent taking in the Erewash Canal to 'highlight how much chaos and destruction' they claim the new high speed route could cause.
