Cutting mooring times

A SIMILAR thing happened down here in Cropredy. [Cutting mooring times at Llangollen.] Writes Kevin McNiff.

Villagers overlooking the visitor moorings complained about there being a 48-hour limit on it, so CaRT changed it to 24hrs. So, given the honey pot location, there’ll always be a boat or two moored above the lock.

Stay as long as you want

Still, if you go around the bend towards the old lift bridge abutments, you can stay for as long as you like on the 24hr mooring because CaRT do not enforce it and the villagers cannot see it so clearly, I’ve seen at least two boats there for over 14 days!

However, back to Llangollen, the last time we were moored up for the regulation 48 hours, we had to endure the constant anti-social noise from those homes.
