Chance to experience the restored Chesterfield Canal
THE Chesterfield Canal Trust is starting its boat trips this Easter week-end, giving a chance to experience the restored section of the Chesterfield Canal.
For families, a chance to treat their children to one of the Trust's Easter cruises, as children get Easter eggs and can take part in crafts and activities. Not forgetting adults who get a hot cross bun.
Start on Saturday
This coming Saturday (31st) and Sunday the cruises are on the John Varley from Tapton Lock on the outskirts of Chesterfield and also on Saturday on the Madeline (pictured) from the Hollingwood Hub.
Trips continue throughout the year and provide a good opportunity for boaters to see the restoration of the Chesterfield Canal, that at present is unconnected to the system. For details telephone 01629 533020.
