Police find body in canal

THE search for 19 years old Charlie Pope came to a tragic end when police discovered his body in the Rochdale Canal.

They had broken through the ice and employed specialist diving teams to search the Rochdale Canal in Manchester for the teenager who went missing last Thursday, and finally discoverer his body in the water, Alan Tilbury reports.

Not suspicious

The police made a point of stating that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. in view of the many recent deaths in the Rochdale 'Nine'.
