Drowned woman was a boater

THE woman who was pulled out of the Trent & Mersey Canal earlier this month was a boater.
She has now been named by the police as Marianne Weaver, and was a live-aboard whose boat was moored at Great Haywood on the Trent & Mersey Canal, Alan Tilbury reports.
Pulled her out
The 63 years old was seen in the water near the junction with the Staffs & Worcs Canal, was pulled her out, then she was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The police maintain there were no suspicious circumstances.
