New Severn warning lights

NEW warning lights are in the process of being installed today on the Severn

These are to warn of strong stream conditions on the river from Gloucester Lock (pictured) to Lincomb, Keith Gudgin tells us.

However, Canal & River Trust are pointing out that though these new electronic strong stream 'warning boards' will be switched on today, initially they will be subject to accuracy and reliability testing and should not be relied upon for accurate information.

The testing is expected to last at least two weeks, with the Trust welcoming feedback from boaters who notice any anomalies during this period.
