Nothing new in checking moorings

Checking with mooring operators is nothing new for CaRT, or at least its predecessor, BW, writes Martin Howes.

Some years back, we were presented with a list of boats that were ‘on our Club moorings’, but which we did not recognise.

Would have stretched ½ mile.

There is a mooring site close to us that, a few years back, if all the declared boats had been moored there, would have stretched for a  ½ mile.

We all moan about mooring abuse, so why should we take exception to such an action.
