Kennet & Avon Canal reopens

THE Kennet & Avon Canal that was closed again at Croften  due to a broken lock collar has now reopened.

Canal & River Trust advised that the damaged collar at Lock 58 was successfully repaired yesterday afternoon and the navigation is now open.

Quickly done

Once again the work was quickly done, the day after the collar broke, causing little interruption to boating traffic.
